The practice was established in 1995 by John Lloyd at 48 Onslow Gardens, South Kensington, London. John Lloyd had been in private practice since the 1970’s and wanted to start a firm that could offer something different to the client base that he had built up over his years in practice.

The intention was to provide a service to both individuals and business clients that offered excellent legal advice to a sophisticated standard at a reasonable cost. An aim the firm has never moved away from.

From inception, the firm’s intention was to provide property, employment and litigation services and these remain our principal areas of work today.

After the unexpected death of John Lloyd in December 2004, the practice was sold in August 2005 to three solicitors who had been with the firm for some time, thus ensuring that the principles and integrity of the practice were retained. Following the sale, the firm was incorporated and became Lloyd & Associates LLP.

Since September 2005, the firm has continued to thrive and offers the same robust, intelligent advice in a personal style that was a hallmark from the days of John Lloyd.

Mo Hakim and Philip Lafferty are the two members of the LLP and the partners in charge of the firm. Mo Hakim is responsible for overseeing all our property related work whilst Philip Lafferty has responsibility for our other services.

Christopher Lloyd, John Lloyd’s son continues to work at the practice and is our Practice Director.

After 12 years at our Onslow Gardens address, we moved to new premises in Thurloe Street in October 2007 allowing us more space and a better environment for both our staff and clients. We very much look forward to welcoming you here.
